How to get rid of dark circles at home
Dark circles on your face affect your appearance and hinders your beauty. You may seem over-aged just because of these dark circles. There can be many reasons for these ugly circles such as, sleeplessness, stress, malnutrition, skin problem etc. But there are certain things you can do at your home to get rid of dark circles.
Using chilled tea bags or applying buttermilk paste can help, says an expert. Navin Taneja, who is the director of capital-based National Skin Centre, shared few tips on how to get rid of dark circles and shadows beneath your eyes:
1. Tea bags
Keep two used green or black tea bags in the freezer for half an hour. After it become chilled, place them on your eye lids and leave it for 10-15 days. Remove them and wash your face. Repeat it once or twice for better results for 2 months.
2. Cold compress
Dip a clean cloth in cold water or milk and then place it on your eyelids for few minutes. You can also wrap few ice cubes in a cloth and put it on your eyes. Alternatively, use a bag of frozen peas or a back side of cold spoon.
3. Buttermilk paste
Make a paste by mixing 1/4th tbsp turmeric and 2 tbsp butter milk. Apply this paste on your dark circles for 15-20 minutes. Wash off with lukewarm water.
Grind few mint leaves and add lemon juice to the mint paste. Apply it on your ugly circles for 15 to 20 minutes. Wash it off and repeat twice a day.
5. Witch hazel
Soak two cotton pads in witch hazel. Place them on your eyes covering your dark circle for five to eight minutes.
